Narrative Poem - English - Dec 14/09

April has been at church for the past four hours. She has been participating in helping a lovely couple share their love today and get married. April is well religious, and believes in god. She believes that all good things happen because of god. April spends most of her day at church. She has been decorating the aisles, the entrance and every other part of the church for the wedding. She has put out beautiful pink roses, eight in a bundle together and has them laid out once you step into the aisle. She believes marriage is the most important day of anyone’s life and it opens the biggest chapter for happiness. April has organized a children’s play room down the hall to the right for kid’s to play in during the wedding. She went out and spent over $350 on toy’s that will excite young children. She loves children and treats them like they are all hers. She goes out at night just to hang out with her friends and to socialize to meet new people. April is charming individual who shares love for everyone. After the wedding was over, April helped clean up as quickly as possible because she had to go home and get ready for her friends twenty-first birthday party.

Once April had gotten ready it was nearly 8:30 PM. She went out to meet her friends at Moxie’s. A famous restaurant which is rated top best restaurants in the city. April got to the restaurant and had a delightful dinner with her favorite girlfriends and soon before you knew it, April and her friends were ready to get their bill and leave. They headed to Level, a new club that had just opened about three days ago, and it’s located on the water. Once they called the taxi and got to the club it was almost 11:00. These girls were ready to party and celebrate her friend’s birthday. They were rocking the dance floor and all eyes were on them, April said her friends and her felt like celebrities. Younger boys, middle-aged boys and even older boys had been buying these girls drinks all night. They were completely out of their mind and couldn’t control themselves. Some random stranger suddenly grabbed April, picked her up and sat her near the bar. He bought her two more drinks, and since April couldn't even think, she kept drinking and drinking. This gentleman looked about in his late 30’s. April’s friends were still dancing and they didn’t realize that April had left. This gentleman looked over at the dance floor to see if April’s friends were watching, and since they weren’t, he slowly picked her up and carried her outside the club.

April was lost and had no idea what was happening. A rush of wind suddenly hit her head and her hair was blowing everywhere. This unknown stranger was carrying April to his car and was running as fast as he could so nobody can spot him. He opened his car door and lay April in the back seat of his car. He got into his car after and drove away as fast as lightening. He was driving so fast, that April bumped her head onto the car window and had a sudden realization that she is no longer with her friends anymore. She said, "where am i", "who are you", "what's happening", the basic questions anyone would ask. The gentlemen typically said to her, "shut up". April's mind was tangled up in confusion, not knowing what's happening. She had that horrifying feeling in her stomach as if she went down a roller coaster. The car started to slow down which attracted April's attention, and she looked up to see what was going on. She looked around and all she could realize was that she was at the end of the town, near the water, in a dark hidden alley.

Once April tried getting up, this hideous old man had stopped the car and jumped into the back seat onto April. April started to panic and scream. She did not know what was going on. This monstrous looking creature had sat on April so she couldn't move. April was yelling at the top of her lungs saying " HELP ME, PLEASE SOMEBODY HELP! ", but not a single soul was nearby to hear her aching voice. He had ripped off all of her clothes into little pieces as if they had been shredded. April's eyes were blood shot red and her make had been running down her eyes like a waterfall. She was shouting and screaming but nobody heard her. This filthy looking man had aggressively caused April to have three bruises on her body. She had been shaking continuously without a single stop. Once this awful looking man was finished with what he wanted, he picked up April and threw her out of his car onto the street like she was a feather. She landed in a pile full of dirt and rain and she was bleeding in several spots. She had barely any clothes on herself to keep her warm, nobody was around her for help and had no electronic device to call for help.

She felt so abominable and betrayed. She felt she has disobeyed god in the worst way possible. April was crying and crying that she just past out in that hollow, dark alley. The next morning the dump truck pulled in to pick up the garbage and the driver saw someone laying with blood all over them self. The driver called 911 right away, and as soon as you knew it, sirens were going off all over town. The loud noises woke April up. The entire place was surrounded with ambulances, fire fighters and police cars within seconds. An investigation was started on April's case. The ambulance rushed April to the hospital to get cleaned up, she did not have any severe damage luckily.

April's mind was running with different thoughts, flying right after another. Once she got cleaned up and was ready to go home, she felt terribly confused. She was disappointed in her friends who betrayed her and had no responsiblity of looking after their dear friend. She had felt that a horrible thing has been done to her and it will never be undone. April feels that god will never accept her anymore. She feels as if she's not good enough, she doesn't belong and that she has betrayed her beliefs in god to the lowest level possible. She wonders if she will ever come past this very night. It will haunt her only in her night mares. April says that she can never show her face in that church anymore because she is a disgrace to god and a public embarrasment. She doesn't feel acceptable anymore. She's in dreading tears because she feels that a sinful act has been committed to her.

Four months have past by and April has still not yet stepped a foot into that church she used to everyday. Her fear of going outside is still haunting her. She has never left her house ever since that morning she got home. Her friends became deeply concerned and called a doctor to go over to her house and talk to her. Say that god will forgive you, it wasn't your fault and that it's a part of life that some people suffer and some don't. After the doctor had talked to her, April stayed in her room for the remainder of that night and thought about everything the doctor had discussed with her.

The next morning, sunlight shined into her room which gave April the strength and power of being strong and facing life as it is. For the very first that morning, she stepped outside her house and walked toward the church. She felt confident more than ever. When she was nearing the church, her stomach got in multiple knots which gave her a feeling of fear. April knew it would be okay, so after four months, she stepped into the church for the first time. She walked down that aisle until she reached the end. She praised for forgiveness and strength to keep her alive and strong. From that day on, April became more to life and believed that anything horrible that had been done could be forgiven. That day shined on April and enlightened the rest of her path for happiness and joy.
